The Harvard Crimson notes that Harvard College accepted 895 students under its early admission, which was 16 percent increased in comparison to the number of early admittance last year. According to Crimson, the early applicant pool of this year showed a 14 percent increase compared to that of last year. The admissions office deferred 3,196 and denied 651.
In the same week, Dartmouth accepted 464 out of 1,574 applicants and other Ivy league schools have not announced their admission numbers.
